Trademark and Branding Strategies for Startups

Austin Padgett will discuss branding strategies for early stage companies and how they can go about protecting those brands.

This year-long monthly series targeted to startups and small businesses will run every 3rd Thursday from 12-1pm. Sessions will cover the essentials of IP protection, factors to consider in developing an effective IP strategy, and how to maximize the value of IP capital in your business. Attendees will gain knowledge about IP assets including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, for both the U.S. and International markets. After each session, business owners will have a basic understanding of what each IP asset is, when to file, and how to enforce it. Additional sessions will focus on licensing and monetizing your IP to create value for your company and investors.
