COVID-19 Small Business Relief Grants

824 small businesses were selected to receive grants ranging from $5000 to $10,000 through the Huntington Beach COVID-19 Small Business Relief Program. The grant program is funded with the $4.75 million in federal CARES Act funding received from the County. All grant funds can be used by small businesses towards personnel or operation costs incurred during the Stay-at-Home order. The City’s non-profit partner, Orange County Small Business Development Center (OC SBDC), is now working with each grant recipient to gather the documentation necessary to receive their grants. A rolling list of recipients who have finalized their grant agreements is available at www.hbready.com/biz-grants and will be updated every Friday.

Surf City Stroll

When the State ordered the closure of indoor dining due to an increase of COVID-19 cases, the City decided to help local restaurants by closing the 2nd block of Main Street to temporarily install outdoor dining areas. Open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, these areas will allow participating restaurants to expand their operations and provide a safe, al fresco dining experience. Your favorite restaurant will service their own tables spaced six feet apart, and the areas will be cleaned regularly. We also invite you to stroll by to shop or do curbside pickup to support our downtown businesses. Just remember to maintain social distance and wear a mask whenever possible.
