Resources for Legilsators

Help us help you serve small business owners in your district.

Who We Are

The Orange County Inland Empire Small Business Development Center Network provides no-cost, confidential one-on-one advising and training to entrepreneurs and small businesses throughout Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties.

The OCIE SBDC is funded in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the California Office of the Small Business Advocate (CalOSBA). Our network helps business owners with everything from licensing and compliance to contracting, accessing new capital, marketing, and more. We support business from ideation to first sales and beyond.

Let's Work Together

The OCIE SBDC partners with legislative offices to connect constituents to no-cost assistance and provide district-level insights. We can:

HOST A SMALL BUSINESS ROUNDTABLE IN YOUR DISTRICT

The OCIE SBDC can set up a roundtable with you to meet local business owners in your district. This is an opportunity for you to speak directly with small business owners and hear about what kind of support they are looking for.

We can co-host a virtual resource webinar tailored to your district’s needs. Topics may include capital access, startup basics, compliance, government contracting, and much more. Co-branded and promoted jointly, it’s an easy way to bring no-cost help to your small business community.

Planning a small business event, town hall, or economic development forum? We will send an OCIE SBDC expert consultant to speak, present, or join a panel, sharing practical guidance your constituents can act on right away.

Want your team up to speed on a specific issue? We offer focused briefings on capital access, AI adoption, contracting and procurement, exporting, disaster readiness, and more. Built for staff, not just business owners, we will give your office the tools to be able to speak knowledgeably to constituents.

We can supply ready-to-use content (e.g. event listings, program highlights, and resource links) for inclusion in your district newsletter, giving your constituents a steady stream of relevant, no-cost small business resources without any extra lift on your end.

On request, we’ll pull together a snapshot of SBDC activity and outcomes specific to your district (e.g. advising numbers, capital access, jobs supported) so you have real, local data on hand for reports, remarks, or constituent conversations.
