Orange County Inland Empire SBDC Announces shE-Commerce Live Virtual Launch Party

FULLERTON, Calif. February 09, 2021 – With the goal to assist female entrepreneurs and women business owners launch and grow their businesses online on a national scale, the Orange County Inland Empire Small Business Development Center Network is proud to announce the official launch of the shE-Commerce Live Virtual Launch Party, in partnership with TheWMarketPlace.

“Through the OCIE SBDC shE-Commerce program, our team of consultants have been able to help over 35 female entrepreneurs in launching their products and services through a new sales channel with the goal to start and grow their business,” said Manal Richa, Director of the CSUF North SBDC. Participating in the shE-Commerce program, female entrepreneurs and women business owners have worked relentlessly, in a group and one on one setting with the OCIE SBDC and TheWMarketPlace teams, during a three-week period to build their brands, choose their offerings, develop their pricing strategy, and set up their store on TheWMarketPlace; all with the goal to launch their first business online and/or be able to expand their offerings into a new e-commerce platform, reaching new national audiences and increasing their sales.

The shE-Commerce Live Virtual Launch Party is scheduled for February 18, 2021 at 6 pm PST. This event is offered at no cost and is open to everyone to join. Participants will get to meet our female business owners and learn about their businesses as they showcase their new presence on TheWMarketPlace.

TheWMarketplace founder, Kate Isler, states “TheWMarketplace is thrilled to celebrate the success of the OCIE SBDC shE-Commerce program with this culmination Launch Party!  It has been our privilege to work with these women entrepreneurs to help them successfully pivot and grow their businesses online.  We understand that providing them with new national sales channels will increase their economic stability, and that by working together to create a community by women and for women, we can change the world.” All shE-Commerce participants will be granted a 30-day free membership to TheWMarketPlace platform.

Orange County Inland Empire SBDC Announces shE-Commerce Live Virtual Launch Party

Mike Daniel is the network director of the Orange County Inland Empire SBDC Network, which assists aspiring entrepreneurs and current business owners throughout Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside counties. Mike was formerly the director of the SBDC office at Long Beach City College. As business owner and entrepreneur himself, he started his career as the owner of a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory location in Manhattan Beach and went on to open a second location in Long Beach in 2001. In 2007, Mike sold the Manhattan Beach store for an above-market offer then invested in several additional locations as a minority shareholder. Mike further expanded his candy empire with venture located in Shoreline Village in Long Beach called Sugar Daddies Sweet Shoppe, based on fill-it yourself candy options.

Mike has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton.
