As part of the Temecula COVID-19 Community Reinvestment Program, the City of Temecula has partnered with the Orange County Inland Empire Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to expand the SBDC’s online Digital Bootcamp training program into the Digital Bootcamp Training & Grant Program. Digital Bootcamp is a four-week program, which will provide training and funding to brick-and-mortar businesses located in Temecula. The program is designed to assist businesses in creating/improving their digital presence and learning to drive traffic through paid and non-paid advertising. In order to apply for this grant, you must first register for the program here. Eligible businesses that complete the training program may receive a $10,000 grant. Grant funding must be used to pay for expenses related to marketing digitalization of their business.
Application Period
Applications must be submitted online and will be accepted from 9:00 am, Monday, December 19, 2022 to 5:00 pm, Saturday, January 21, 2023. The application period will close promptly at 5:00 pm on January 21, 2023. Applications received online after this due date and time will be considered late and will not be accepted.
Supporting documentation must be submitted through an online portal after completion of the full Digital Bootcamp Program. Businesses that meet all criteria, will be contacted to sign up for the required Digital Bootcamp Grant Program. The first of four mandatory classes will begin on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 10:00 am to noon.

The Digital Bootcamp Program is a program developed by the SBDC to assist small businesses in expanding their online presence by launching and growing their online e-commerce store. During the four (4) weeks, business owners will develop skills to drive traffic, grow on brand exposure, and reach larger audiences online while developing a strong understanding of the key elements needed to build and expand a robust e-commerce portal for their business.

How you can advertise your online business through different social media platforms, emails, and advertising.

Session 3 – MARKETPLACES (Feb 07: 10 AM – 12 PM)
How to know which platforms work best to sell your products. Choosing your marketplaces with pricing considerations.
During this session, we will cover the following:
Session 4 – SCALABILITY – KPIS FOR YOUR ROI (Feb 14: 10 AM – 12 PM)
Tracking outcomes and ensuring Return on Investment(ROI). Packing and shipping solutions, Key Performance Indicators(KPIs) for future growth and sustainability.

Mike Daniel is the network director of the Orange County Inland Empire SBDC Network, which assists aspiring entrepreneurs and current business owners throughout Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside counties. Mike was formerly the director of the SBDC office at Long Beach City College. As business owner and entrepreneur himself, he started his career as the owner of a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory location in Manhattan Beach and went on to open a second location in Long Beach in 2001. In 2007, Mike sold the Manhattan Beach store for an above-market offer then invested in several additional locations as a minority shareholder. Mike further expanded his candy empire with venture located in Shoreline Village in Long Beach called Sugar Daddies Sweet Shoppe, based on fill-it yourself candy options.
Mike has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton.
