Tru Chiropractic and Wellness Brings Personalized Care to Rancho Cucamonga

Nick Tauaese turned his passion for helping others improve their health and wellness into a growing chiropractic practice in Rancho Cucamonga.

After spending several years working for a chiropractor, Nick Tauaese knew he wanted to make a greater impact in his community. With a passion for helping people reduce pain, improve mobility, and support their long-term health, Nick envisioned opening a practice where he could provide care in a way that aligned with his values. That vision led him to establish Tru Chiropractic and Wellness in Rancho Cucamonga, offering personalized chiropractic care to help individuals feel and perform their best.

Turning Expertise Into a Business

While Nick had years of experience in chiropractic care, opening his own practice came with new challenges. From navigating licenses and permits to building a brand and developing a marketing strategy, he recognized the need for additional guidance to successfully launch his business.

Nick turned to the OCIE SBDC, where he worked closely with business consultant Edgar Mejia to develop a marketing strategy tailored to his practice and target audience.

Together, they focused on building a strong digital presence, improving search engine optimization (SEO), and creating a social media strategy to connect with local communities, particularly individuals involved in sports and physical activities. The SBDC also provided guidance on licensing requirements, referral partnerships, and developing a launch plan to help position the practice for long-term success.

Building a Growing Practice

In June 2026, Nick officially opened Tru Chiropractic and Wellness. The practice quickly began gaining momentum, averaging 40 patients per week in June and experiencing approximately 25% growth in July.

By August, the business had reached its break-even point and hired a part-time employee to help meet growing demand. Since opening, the practice has generated tens of thousands of dollars in revenue and is projected to approach six figures in revenue by the end of 2026.

Reflecting on his experience, Nick shared that one of the most valuable parts of working with the SBDC was the personalized marketing and SEO guidance he received. The practical recommendations helped him better understand how to reach his target audience, strengthen his online presence, and confidently promote his business.

“What I appreciate most is that the support has been practical and tailored to my specific business rather than simply providing generic advice.”

Through continued growth and a commitment to helping his community, Nick is turning his experience in chiropractic care into a thriving local business.
