UC Riverside is launching an EPIC Small Business Development Center, a sort of one-stop shop for technology-focused entrepreneurs looking to start up businesses, in downtown Riverside.

The center is a partnership with Riverside County, funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration and state of California, a UCR news release states. Its goal is to provide free training, access to capital, and support from seasoned entrepreneurs and industry experts. EPIC stands for Entrepreneurial Proof of Concept Center.

The official launch and open house is open to the public and set for 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, in the Riverside County Business Center, 3403 10th St., Riverside.
