Beauty Boss

The purpose of this program is to help you explore options toward starting and owning your own beauty business. It is offered in partnership with The Salon Spot Beauty Rentals and will be presented in both English and Vietnamese.

Beauty Boss is for you if you are a beauty professional who would like to offer one of the following services in launching or expanding your business:

• Hair services
• Barbering services
• Manicuring services
• Lash services
• Eyebrow services
• Makeup services
• Skincare services

During the program, you will accelerate your path toward launching your business as you identify if entrepreneurship is a good fit for you, learn what it takes to start your business, and more. We will also cover in detail:

• Setting up and launching your business
• Obtaining your licenses and permits
• Leveraging market research
• Putting together your business plan
• Understanding financial projections and aligning them with your goals
• Identifying and targeting new customers
• Sizing up your competition
• Standing out in a crowded market
• Developing your menu of services and price points
• Understanding leases and contracts
• Learning about location and space types
• Setting up CRM and payment systems
• And more!

Participants of this program will also have the opportunity to access a rental booth for three (3) days AT NO COST (a $150 value) at The Salon Spot Beauty Rentals to test the market.

Disclaimer: In order to qualify for the free three days at The Salon Spot facility, you are required to have an active license with the CA State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology.
