J3 Beauty Opens in Style

J3 Beauty Styles LLC opened its doors in 2024 and Priscilla Uriostegui hit the ground running. Through passion and commitment, the small business was welcomed into the community with a grand opening celebration on January 12, 2024. 

Priscilla has been a licensed hair stylist for seven years and always dreamed of opening her own salon. With the support of her family, Priscilla wanted to make her dream a reality. She found a perfect location, but didn’t know where to start. Then, she found the Orange County Inland Empire Small Business Development Center Network (OCIE SBDC). 

OCIE SBDC Business Consultant Yadira Dominguez helped Priscilla through every step in order to get her business started. She walked Priscilla through the permit process, registering her business, and obtaining a business license with the city of San Bernardino. Priscilla worked diligently to open her dream salon and her hard work paid off. 

“With seven years of experience as a licensed hair stylist, Priscilla is realizing her dream of opening a salon, envisioning it as a way to positively impact and uplift the San Bernardino community,” said Yadira. “As an outstanding client, I eagerly anticipate witnessing the future success of her business.”

Priscilla was grateful to receive services in Spanish, her native language. The support from consultant Yadira through one-on-one sessions made her feel confident and prepared to open J3 Beauty Styles. 

“I’m so grateful for the SBDC’s support and guidance throughout this process,” said Priscilla. She is excited to be open for business in the city of San Bernardino and hopes her story will make a positive impact, and inspire others to go after their dream.
