SteelCraft Grand Opening

The grand opening program begins at 11:15 a.m. and the ribbon cutting will follow at 12:00 p.m. Limited parking available on-site. Additional parking available across the street at 3747 Long Beach Blvd. Come for lunch! Experience the artisan food offered at SteelCraft and support this business by purchasing your lunch from one of the eight local vendors.

 

About SteelCraft

SteelCraft was born from its developers, Kimberly Gros and Martin Howard’s big idea and eight custom, repurposed shipping containers from the Port of Long Beach & Port of Los Angeles each designed to host an artisan food vendor. Guests of SteelCraft can share meals and conversations on reclaimed wood tables and enjoy a delightful mix of artisanal food. Check out some of the vendors below!

Pig Pen Delicacy – A new take on American comfort food using an array of sophisticated and modern interpretations of bacon and pork favorites.

Smog City Brewing – A family run craft brewery focused entirely on creating and distributing exceptional beers.

Tajima – Enjoy an authentic taste of Japan in a pleasant atmosphere. Tajima preserves the purity of Japanese taste with delightful dishes including ramen, rice bowls, Japanese cuisine, and select items for the vegetarian.

DeSano Pizza Bakery – DeSano Pizza Bakery follows the strict guidelines of the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (VPN), preserving the centuries old craft of making authentic Napoletana pizza.

Steelhead Coffee – A local neighborhood coffee shop that offers great coffee and a great place to congregate.

Waffle Love – Made fresh dough, imported Belgian Pearl Sugar, and the finest ingredients, enjoy an authentic belgian liege waffle unlike anything you’ve ever tasted.

The Fresh Shave – With no high fructose corn syrup, no dyes and no artificial sweeteners, enjoy the best all–natural and delicious handcrafted shave ice.

Lovesome Chocolates – Experience a diverse palate of spicy, salty, savory, sweet, and floral flavors. SteelCraft Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting

Mike Daniel is the network director of the Orange County Inland Empire SBDC Network, which assists aspiring entrepreneurs and current business owners throughout Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside counties. Mike was formerly the director of the SBDC office at Long Beach City College. As business owner and entrepreneur himself, he started his career as the owner of a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory location in Manhattan Beach and went on to open a second location in Long Beach in 2001. In 2007, Mike sold the Manhattan Beach store for an above-market offer then invested in several additional locations as a minority shareholder. Mike further expanded his candy empire with venture located in Shoreline Village in Long Beach called Sugar Daddies Sweet Shoppe, based on fill-it yourself candy options.

Mike has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton.
