Are you interested in starting your own business and unsure of where to begin? SBDC Start is a FREE startup series to teach you how! In just six weeks, you will gain the information and skills to start your very own business!

SBDC Start is a California Dream Fund approved program available only for businesses registered in Orange County and the Inland Empire. Learn more about the California Dream Fund here.

Classes will be held every Thursday, June 30 – Thursday, August 4 from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM. See schedule below:

  • Licensing and Permits
  • Getting Started

Class Two | Thursday, July 7 from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM

  • Digital Marketing
  • Advertising

Class Three | Thursday, July 14 from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM

  • Financial Management
  • Accounting and Accounting Systems

Class Four | Thursday, July 21 from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM

  • Financial Literacy
  • Access to Capital

Class Five | Thursday, July 28 from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM

  • Feasibility
  • Business Planning
  • Market Research
  • Financials

Class Six | Thursday, August 4 from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM

  • Financial Projections
  • Dream Fund Application

You will also have the opportunity to schedule a virtual, one-on-one, consultation with a business consultant to discuss information tailored to your own business. You will be required to attend all six courses.

You will receive the class link one day before the first class date.
